Beef Burgundy Shepherd's Pie

    I know, I know, I said I was going to make this into a pot pie.  I was going to.  Really, I was.  But sometimes things have a mind of their own.  The more I got set to make it, the more mashed potatoes just made sense.  Why not a shepherd's pie?  I mean it is still a pie, right?  So... that is what I did.  And I don't regret it for a second!  It was soooo good.



    I mean, why wouldn't it be?  With a base of beef, mushrooms and wine covered in pillowy garlic rosemary mashed potatoes.  I mean... come on!

   Of course, if you have a favorite way to make mashed potatoes, do it your way!  But the hint of rosemary and garlic really adds something special.


    I just ate it, and talking about it makes me want it again!
