Why I Am Loving Yummly

Have you discovered yummly yet?  It is my newest way to waste, err I mean spend time!

You can yum recipes from any site and sort them into categories.  They have a feature that goes through the recipe and picks out the ingredients and estimates the calories and amount of time it takes to make the recipe.

Even better than that, you can go to yummly and search for recipes by keyword.  Are you vegan?  They have a box for that which will automatically display only appropriate recipes.  Do you have a food allergy?  You can let them know that as well.  You can customize the search to your tastes and only get things that might appeal to you.  You can even search by occasion!  Doesn't that sound great?

My recipe for cheesy potatoes has really been getting some yummly love lately.  You can check out all of my yummed recipes in one spot. If you like a recipe on my page, I now have a yum button over there to the right of my page.  See it?  It is just under my picture.

If you haven't been over to check it out, you should make a point to do it.  Just be warned, it may suck you in!

  1. It is a bit better than Pinterest for recipes too. I like that there is nutritional info and you can make a shopping list right there. I'm glad you added the button.

  2. I signed up for Yummly, but haven't done much with it yet. On my list of things to explore, when I can finally get to it this - hopefully this week!
By the way, I tagged you in a post today Carlee - feel free to participate or not. :)
I am enjoying your blog, and just wanted to introduce my readers to you as well.

    1. I have gotten a fair amount of traffic from yummly, so it has been great for my blog. I signed up as a yummly publisher yesterday, so we will see if that changes anything! Thank you so much, I always enjoy seeing what you have to say as well!
