Easy Family Meal Plan Week 24

This week's menu is planned for you! We have 6 great family friendly dinner recipes and a sweet treat as a reward!

It's my little sister's baby shower day!  You may remember her bridal shower brunch last fall.  Well, guess what? She liked it so much she decided to give us a reason for another shower! So as you are reading this I am likely running around like a chicken with my head cut off.  I am probably circling, foofing, recircling and wondering where the heck I put my phone. The about an hour before the party I will wonder where the heck everyone is. Is that just me?! Really, I've been trying to slowly work towards being ready all week.  MiMi and I picked out a theme we though would be easy to execute.

It really could be easy, but that's not quite my style!  Besides, it seems like no matter how much you get done ahead of time there is always a pile of things that just can't be done until the day of, then the hour of and those dreaded things that have to be done in the last 15 minutes.

Why oh why are there always so many of the last 15 minute items?!

Anyway, though thing would probably be fine just the way they are, I will keep adding until party time.  I'll think of one more decoration that would be cute here or something really needs to go there or perhaps I'll whip up one more dish because the 15 thing we already have planned might not be enough for somebody.

So now that we've had an inside look at my party hosting neurosis, let's focus on this weeks menu. Shall we?

We'll start the week off with Crock Pot Chicken Noodle Casserole from Tastefully Eclectic. After a busy weekend, a slow cooker recipe is just the thing!

This Pasta Salad from Recipe Treasures looks like the perfect side with a pork chop, some chicken or even a BLT!

It has been far to long since our last taco night.  These Baked Tacos from Joyful Homemaking are about to change that!

Is your garden starting to produce tomatoes? Our plants are huge and have tiny little tomatoes on them, so it won't be long for us.  I can't wait to make another one of these Tomato Slab Pies.  The crust is full of cornmeal and Parmesan to compliment the fresh tomatoes!

I cannot wait to try this Goldfish Cracker Crusted Baked Chicken from Jonesin' for Taste. This is going to be fun!

If it has the word caprese in it, I am going to like it! This Chicken Caprese Pasta Casserole from New South Charm will be a sure winner!

Of course after another long week, we are going to need a treat! These Gluten Free Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies from A Day in Candiland will do nicely!

    1. It is a lot easier to have a good dinner every night if you have some sort of plan when you go to the store. Though, to be honest, sometimes the make something out of what we have on hand (no matter how crazy it is!) dinners are our favorites!
