Are you a snacker?  We love snacks at our house, especially on the weekends. When it’s nice out we tend to be outside most of the day. Whether we are working or playing, it is hard to stop for a meal. Plus our dinner time gets pushed back so we can utilize as much daylight as possible.

So instead of eating a regular breakfast and lunch we snack on simple things throughout the day so we aren’t ready to gnaw our own arms off by the time we finally sit down to dinner.

Then as the weather cools off, we become football fans. Our doors are always open on Sundays during the season.

There is almost always a pot of chili on the stove and snacks on the counter. People come, grab some grub, watch the game and talk some smack. It’s fun as long as I’m winning! 😉

Sometimes these snacks come in the form of delicious buffalo chicken taquitos, kickin’ corn dip or one of my new favorites, pulled pork dip.  While I do love a good gooey melted cheese dip, sometimes it’s nice to have something a bit healthier to offer.

That is where this dip comes in. It is really tasty, super quick and easy to make and you can feel good about it when everyone goes back for more.   All you have to do is stir together a few simple ingredients and dip away.

We love this dip with slices apples, but it is also great on graham crackers. I would imagine it would be wonderful on a variety of fresh fruit.

I don’t know about you, but I am really sad to see appleweek coming to an end. It is probably good though, because the number of recipes I want to try already outnumbers the hours I have to make them!

Besides there are a couple more fun events coming down the pike. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but one rhymes with #bumpkinweek and the other rhymes with choctobermest. 😁

So go ahead and whip up a batch of this yummy dip, slice a few apples and dig in!

For another fun dip for sliced apples, try making rich creamy 3 ingredient caramel dip. It is super easy too and perfect for a sweet tooth!

My kids seriously love peanut butter. I am constantly having to buy more (like every week). This is a delicious way to stretch it further while still letting them dip their apples! Thanks for sharing your recipe with us at Merry Monday this week!

    1. I'd get along great with your kids then. Peanut butter is one of my weaknesses. Adding yogurt gives it a great dipping consistency and would definitely help stretch it a bit =)

I love adding diced apples to my morning oatmeal along with candied pecans, raisins, chia seeds, flaxseeds and pure maple syrup. My kids love when I make them apple nachos…Slices topped with caramel and varies nuts, seeds and candies!

    1. Both of those ideas sound great! I know my little guy and I would love the nachos and I am a big fan of oatmeal as well!
