Easy Family Meal Plan Week 44

This week's menu is planned for you.  We have five great family friendly dinner recipe and a fun treat for making through another busy week!

Somehow it already feels like the year is wrapping up.  We are to that point in the year where every moment seems spoken for. Thanksgiving is right around the corner.  Nana and I have already had the planning chat divvying up the duties. I am getting excited.

Of course Little Dude has been begging to put up the Christmas decorations.  He has had his list hanging by the fireplace since September.  We made a paper chain the other day so we have an idea how far away the big day is.  He rearranged how it was hanging today and sat back to admire his work.  It is so much fun that he gets sooooo excited about this stuff.  We have our first Christmas party the week following Thanksgiving and the next the following week.  I AM NOT READY! I would love to be done with the gift buying and whatnot but I barely have the list of who we should by for put together.

We have some big stuff coming on the blog so I have been busy cooking up a storm to get ready.  First we are going to celebrate the fall harvest with some delicious produce focused yummies. Next week we'll be kicking off the party with #fabulousfallbounty.  Then we'll be getting ready for Christmas with #ChristmasCookieWeek so I spent my Veteran's day making Christmas cookies to try out some goodies. I have some yummy stuff that I can't wait to share!

But we need to get down to business this week too.  So here is a menu that will keep the family happy!

We love pasta and cheese! So this crock pot macaroni and cheese from Seduction in the Kitchen is sure to be a hit.

Next up we'll be enjoying the savory apple bacon pizza again. We all loved it the first time and can't wait to have it again.

I don't know about where you are, but here we are having middle of winter temperatures already. It is COLD! Cold weather calls for soup and this hamburger soup from Recipe Treasures will be a perfect way to take the chill off.

This spicy sausage and penne pasta from New South Charm has my name written all over it.  I love these kind of dinners and this one looks really flavorful.

The next meal will help us get in the Thanksgiving spirit with a fun twist. Cranberry turkey meatloaf from Jonesin' for Taste will get us in the mood!

Then we'll celebrate the advent of another weekend with the easy no bake peanut butter bars from Baking with Mom.  You already know these aren't going to last 2 second around here!

  2. Hi Carlee, I don't think I would cope if we had Thanksgiving to celebrate too! I may not be the most organised person around but I do like to be organised for Christmas, with gifts sorted by the end of December. This year I am feeling organised one bit.... I love nice paper chain. We still have one that the children made years ago. We made it from metallic card and it's lasted so well. Which probably has something to do with the huge box it gets backed away in one it's own. I hope your little boys lasts as long!... I had no idea that you could make macaroni cheese in the crock pot, so will be checking that out. The peanut butter bars sound good too.

    xx

    1. Our paper chain is just made from construction paper this year. We made one link for each day left until Christmas so he can take one off each day and have a visual way to see how many days are left. He is still a little young to grasp that it's next month. This gives us a good way to see it's getting closer but there are still quite a few days between here and there!
