Maple Browned Butter Glaze

I absolutely love browned butter glaze, especially for my fall treats.  The browned butter adds such a warm flavor that compliments the spices of fall baked goods.  Want to know how to take to the next level?  Add maple syrup!  I knew a pumpkin skillet cinnamon roll was in order for the fall and what better to top it off than this deliciously sweet and flavorful golden glaze of goodness?

In addition to being perfect on this pumpkin cinnamon roll, it would be great on apple treats, oatmeal cookies, coffee cake or drizzle it over a bundt or pound cake. You will be happy with whatever you put it on!

Maple Browned Butter Glaze

1/2 cup butter
3 T maple syrup
2 cups powdered sugar
2 T milk
pinch of salt

  1. In thick bottomed sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter.  Continue to cook, stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in powdered sugar, syrup, salt and of milk.  You can add more milk until you reach your desired consistency.

  1. Carlee,
Thanks for stopping by to comment on my S'mores Pie post. I love maple flavored everything so I can't wait to try this glaze.

    1. That pie looked amazing! I am really into maple this fall too, so this really hit the spot.

  2. This glaze sounds delicious, but that cinnamon roll looks AMAZING. I want to jump right through my screen and eat it all! YUM!

    1. I have to admit I ate more than my fair share! I couldn't keep my hands off of it!
