When it is time to enjoy it, all you have to do is measure out a few tablespoons full and add boiling water. A quick stir and your mug is ready to be enjoyed or topped with your favorite additions.

Mini marshmallows are a classic addition to a nice mug of hot chocolate, but crushed candy canes are tasty as well. You can try whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon as well.

You can also add some of these ingredients to you jar if you plan to give the mix away. You are giving the gift of nostalgia without the preservatives or artificial flavors.

If you find yourself with leftover hot chocolate mix when winter is over, don’t despair. You can turn it into hot chocolate cookies, hot chocolate mix pudding or hot chocolate mix ice cream!

To Make the Mix

  • Chop 4 ounces chocolate in the food processor until you have small chunks.

Use your favorite bar of chocolate. We usually use milk or German chocolate. But feel free to play with dark chocolate if you would like.
