Turning Your White Hot Chocolate Into a Snowman Gift Jar

Please share

Finished snowman jar filled with white hot chocolate mix powder.

After making a few batches of white hot chocolate, it only seems right to share the love. Certainly a plain jar of hot chocolate goodness would be gift enough.

But why not make it a little extra festive?  A snowman just makes it that much more fun!

Jar of white hot chocolate mix, sheets of red felt, green pipe cleaner balls and scissors.

All you need to get started is your jar of white hot chocolate, a couple of pipe cleaners, some red felt.  Of course some scissors and a hot glue gun will help too!

Hand holding strip of red felt, gluing it to lid of the jar.

Wrap the felt around the lid of the jar, tacking it on with a few drops of hot glue.

Jar with green ear warmers made out of pipe cleaners, red felt scarf glued to the bottom and hat on lid.

I used a scrap piece of felt to give the illusion of a scarf and added the pipe cleaners as earmuffs.

Jar with hat, scarf and ear warmers next to plate with paintbrushes and paint.

MiMi braided some embroidery thread to tie off the snowman’s hat, then I painted on a carrot nose.  I searched high and low for my black tempera paint, but couldn’t find it.

So, I grabbed a good old Sharpie and added his eyes that way.  It wasn’t what a I had in mind, but it ended up being easier and worked just as well!

Ball jar filled with white hot chocolate mix, with snowman face painted on it and felt hat and scarf.

Wouldn’t you be happy to get a snowman filled with hot chocolate?  It is perfect for a warm treat after building a much colder version of a snowman outside!

Oh Carlee, I love how creative you are. These will make the perfect gift for Christmas!! You can look at YouTube videos which are helpful in learning crochet stitches. Once you learn it's fun and there are so many things to make!! Have a nice day and thanks for stopping by. Julie xo

I will have to check out some videos. My mom and aunt tried to teach me to knit a number of years ago, but I knit so tightly that it made my hands hurt and every stitch was a fight! Maybe I need to take a deep breath and make a cup of cocoa before I try to crochet!
