Alfredo sauce is rich creamy heavenly goodness all the way around. This recipe is super easy to make and it is sooooo good. Toss your favorite pasta in it or just dive in with a breadstick. You can't go wrong, make it and you'll see!
Let's just get the facts out of the way first. There is nothing "holy" or light about this recipe. It doesn't matter. Sometimes you just have to go for it. See how I said sometimes, like most of what on here is light and holy. Ha!

Really, we do eat pretty healthy most of the time. But sometimes you just have to go for the Alfredo and when you do, you might as well do it right! Trust me, you are going to want to do it right!
This recipe has been in our family for decades too. This was my birthday dinner for quite a few years running. During my high school years when MiMi would ask what I wanted, it would always be fettuccine Alfredo and chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake.

I will have to see if she still has the cheesecake recipe too. (She does and she shared it!) YUMMMMM! For a few years, she had one of those pasta machines so we would sometimes make homemade pasta, though the boxed stuff always works too.
Nana (my mother-in-law) got me a pasta roller for Christmas. I was so excited and couldn't wait to get it out. I bought some semolina flour and waited for my chance. So next time I had a little free time and some help with the little dude, I made some pasta.
Of course he wanted to help, so the free hands were temporary. It turns out his help was needed. He cranked the levers, MiMi helped and I helped to guide the dough out of the machine.

We thought it would be fun to do a really long sheet and Pops had to get in on the act too. We had everyone over for dinner and enjoyed freshly made pasta and our favorite Alfredo sauce.

Of course that pasta making adventure was a couple of years ago now, but Little Dude still loves cranking out the pasta. Nobody else gets a chance to work the machine!
He is always ready to make more pasta and I am always ready to eat more alfredo, so it works out pretty darn well! Now you just need to whip up a batch and let me know what you think!
