Easy Family Meal Plan Week 21

A week's worth of delicious recipes for family friendly dinners and a lemon bar reward for another great week!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  I know that is not a worldwide event, but it is never a bad time to stop and think about what others have sacrificed to give us what we have today.  A little refection and appreciation never hurt anyone.  So for those of you who have served, thank you.  For the families of those who have served, thank you too.  I know it is not easy to wait at home while somebody you love is far away.

Besides a little extra patriotism, this weekend tends to be one that is celebrated with good food.  If Mother Nature cooperates, that usually means some BBQ for us.

We actually have a weekend full of get together planned.  If you follow me on Facebook, you know I've been hemming and hawing over what kind of pie to make for our next family and friends cook-off.

Somebody needs to get their name on the plaque besides K.C.  I am looking forward to that and I am sure I'll be giving you all the details soon.

We also have a house warming party to go to at my in-laws'.  So there should be plenty of food and merriment to go around.  Speaking of food, I owe you a menu for the week.  So here it is:

This Loco Pollo from Jonesin' for Taste would be perfect while you have those grills out and going.

One of our favorite dinners is this Simple Oven Roasted Shrimp. It just takes a few minutes and dinner is ready.  I make a couple quick sides and then pile the shrimp up on a platter and we all just dig in.  The sides will barely get touched until the shrimp are gone and we love every bite!

You know I love these kinds of dishes, so I can't wait to try this Tex Mex Casserole from New South Charm!

I also love me some noodles.  So digging into this bowl of Cashew Sesame Noodles from Joyful Homemaking will be no problem for me!

We'll round out the week with two of my favorite things combined into one dish, Buffalo Chicken Chili from Tastefully Eclectic.

And as a sweet reward for surviving another hectic week, we'll make some Best Lemon Bars from A Day in Candiland.  Because we deserve it gosh darn it!
