Easy Family Meal Plan Week 34

We have some great dinner ideas coming your way. Easy, family friendly and ready to go! Plus a fun chocolate poke cake as a special treat!

Hooooooooray for long weekends!  Are you guys doing anything exciting over the Labor Day weekend?  We are hosting our annual shrimp boil.  Other than that my husband and Little Dude have big plans to get a play set built in the back yard.

It will probably take the rest of the fall to get it done unless they shrink their plans a bit.  I came home from work and they were plotting it out on paper, tape measures in hand.  It should be interesting and I will try to share pictures and keep you updated!

In the meantime, let's get to the food.  Fall is always loaded with blogging events that I just can't say no to.  So I am going to try to start posting just a couple of new recipes a week as I try to get everything done for some blowout weeks that are coming down the pike.

I'm not always the best at slowing down, so we'll see what happens! Now let's get to this week's menu.

This BLT Pasta Salad from Joyful Homemaking would be great for your Labor Day festivities, a fun side or a perfect take along lunch!

Of course pulled pork is great for a party as well and this Pacific Pineapple Pulled Pork has a fun new flavor twist.  It is a great way to feed a crowd!

Here is another great carry-in dish.  This Macaroni Salad from Recipe Treasures would also be perfect in my lunch box!

These Easy Chicken Pesto and Sun Dried Tomato Crescents from Jonesin' for Taste will be the perfect way to change up the flavors after the BBQ leftovers are gone!

With fall starting to cool of the evening breeze, my thoughts are headed toward two of my favorites, pumpkin and chili.  So I can't wait to try them together in this Pumpkin Chili recipe from Tastefully Eclectic.

And now for my favorite part, dessert! This Chocolate Turtle Poke Cake from New South Charm looks absolutely amazing.  I'll have to make it for a party so I don't risk eating it all myself!
