Welcome to the 2018 #appleweek

This post is sponsored on behalf of #appleweek. Our generous sponsors, Swiss Diamond, Envy Apples, Imperial Sugar, Nordic Ware, Rodelle Vanilla, Flahavan's Irish Oatmeal, Nairn's and The Spice House have provided us with products for recipe creation and a giveaway for our readers. As always, all opinions are my own.

It's one of my favorite times of the year, apple season!  I just love everything about it. I love going to the apple orchard. I love fresh apple, cold apple cider, apple cider slushies, warm mugs of apple cider too!

I also love homemade applesauce. I'll take mine a little bit chunky with some cinnamon please! And of course there are apple cakes, apple pies, apple muffins and more!

One of the best things about apples though, is how versatile they are. In addition to all of those lovely sweeter flavors, they also pair really well with savory dishes. They make fun toppings for pizzas and tarts. They are great with pork and chicken too!

If you are an apple lover like me, you are going to absolutely go bonkers over this week! We have 40 bloggers sharing over 200 apple recipes! You read that right!

As if that isn't enough to keep you coming back day after day, there are also great prizes you can win.  We have teamed up with great sponsors and they want to give you free stuff! Be sure to check out the prizes you can win below and then enter to win them!

Each day this week we'll be sharing recipes of all kinds.  I will start sharing recipes tomorrow and will be linking to lots of other great recipes.  Come back at the end of the week and check out the AppleWeek 2018 main page to see a listing of every recipe we shared this week!

  5. I have been looking forward to Apple Week for so long!! SO happy it's finally here!! THANK YOU for everything you did to make this event possible!

  6. I have been anxiously waiting for this! Just moved to the PNW and am lucky to have my own apple tree with an abundance of fruit! So many great recipes posted, it is hard to choose just one! Both my boys will be home soon on vacation, and I think they would love the Apple Cider Donuts!

  7. I love apple cobbler...warm with whipped cream!

  8. I Love a good caramel apple cobbler! It’s easy and delicious. Homemade caramel takes it so much furthe, along with honey crisp apples 🍎

  9. I have an old family recipe for a pear kuchen that can be adapted to use apples, and I frequently make it this way. The crust is so incredible (very cookie-like flavor), and it is a huge hit whenever I make it for a gathering.

I am absolutely drooling over all the incredible recipes - inspiration for me to make some of them (as I sit here eating plain Greek yogurt with some apple compote from the big batch I made earlier in the week... we are definitely all about apples here! 🤣)! My SO has a birthday coming up very soon, & I've saved The Baking Fairy's apple cinnamon layer cake recipe to make for him!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment. I love reading your ideas!
