Piles of fluffy buttercream are extra sweet when they are spiked with delicious peach syrup. This fun frosting would be perfect with a buttery vanilla cake and is fabulous on sweet tea cupcakes. What will you put it on first?

The minute the bottle of Torani peach syrup arrived at my door, I knew it would make a fun frosting. I had used their toasted marshmallow syrup to top s’more cupcakes and they were a smashing success.

When deciding what flavor to make the cupcakes, for some reason peach tea was in my head. So sweet tea cupcakes were born.

The cupcakes were not overly sweet, so they went well with the sweeter punch this frosting packs.

It was so much fun to see it come together. The syrup not only adds the flavor and liquid for the recipe, but it adds a nice peach hue as well.

I didn’t have to add any additional coloring to make the frosting a pretty peach color. It’s like an all in one solution!

A third of a paper straw stuck in each frosted cupcake helped to drive the flavor combination home. You certainly don’t have to add a straw, but I do think it makes them look extra cute.

I have to say I was really quite pleased with how they turned out. They were cute and perfect for a summer soiree!

I love playing with frosting flavors and textures.  What is the most fun frosting you’ve ever had?

  1. What did you top the icing with, what kind of sugar crystals. It really adds a nice touch.

  2. If you’re making the brown sugar cake and you’re using the peach filling inside of it, and then you make this icing and use some of that for the peach filling instead of the peach syrup use a teaspoon of vanilla extract also otherwise it won’t taste right.
